The Colorado Humane Society has been providing humane shelter and compassionate treatment to lost, abused, and abandoned animals to not only the Denver area, but nationwide, for over 125 years. Organized in 1881, we are the oldest animal shelter in Colorado, and one of the oldest institutions in Denver.

We have dedicated ourselves to the welfare of animals. We shelter, treat, and place thousands of animals for adoption every year. We also educate people about how to better care for their pets. We can only do so with the amazing help of our friends like you, our volunteers, our contributors, and our amazing staff. Thank you all.
