Frick and Frack
Frick and Frack are Siamese brothers that have had a
traumatic past couple of months. After being given up
by their owner of 6 years because of allergies, they
contracted an upper respiratory infection from the
shelter. When they arrived at the clinic, they were
extremely stressed and ill. Frick and Frack had a very
difficult time recovering from their illness, refusing
to eat on their own. They were hand fed by the clinic
staff for weeks until they finally began showing
interest in food on their own. The brothers were
previously both front and rear declawed, which has
greatly contributed to their difficulty recovering
from the stress of illness and a major change in their
living environment. Frick and Frack have really
improved over the last couple weeks, although we would
like to see them have a healthier appetite. They are
currently in a foster home working on gaining some
weight back.
Due to the stressful history of Frick and Frack, they
must be adopted together. Like most Siamese, they are
extremely affectionate and prefer to be in a household
with owners that do not travel frequently and can give
them plenty of attention. To visit with Frick and
Frack, please contact the Englewood shelter.
